The Role in General

Xailient works with innovators and early adopter customers in the Edge computing space. We are seeking a Digital Marketing Manager to work with the founders to reach our target prospects and explain our value proposition.  

 

The Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible for defining and executing strategic marketing, brand and communications strategies for engaging customers, channel partners and developer communities. This includes helping us reach, nurture, convert and retain customers through a variety of online and offline channels. You’ll partner with various teams within the business to design and deploy initiatives that drive awareness, engagement and customer acquisition. Given the start-up nature of the company, you will need to be flexible and inventive in the delivery/execution of your strategy. Ultimately, you’ll have primary responsibility to establish the function and completely own the marketing, and with the CEO, the branding and positioning going forward.

The team is distributed geographically, and there is considerable autonomy and flexibility in this role. Our work hours overlap in the Pacific Timezone afternoon to early evening.

 

Role Details

Digital Marketing Manager

 

This is a dynamic role with responsibilities for connecting the dots between the founder vision, product, business development and sales.

`

You will drive commercial results and deliver clear messaging and positioning for the Xailient value proposition, both in terms of product features and functionality as well as channel partners and ecosystem offerings.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work with; founder, product, business development and sales to create brand positioning and messaging to optimise activities to support our sales targets and brand awareness metrics

  • Generate quality leads for the Sales team and explore new ways to reach and engage our target prospects

  • Research and develop compelling, persuasive marketing content for email campaigns, landing pages, website, blogs, social media and digital ads

  • Coordinate with external partners, influencers, and agencies to plan activities, monitor performance and optimise investment

  • Plan and organise and host events, conferences, and webinars

  • Use data to identify repeatable verticals and go-to-market strategies 

  • Develop strategies to generate awareness and excitement, pulling in influencers from the community, and inside enterprises

  • Coordinate and produce various demonstration videos

  • Analyze and provide guidance on how to maximize our CRM (Hubspot), LinkedIn Sales Navigator and paid Search

  • Optimize SEO and SEM management and optimization 

  • Develop marketing analytics dashboard 

  • Build and manage the company’s online presence including the update of the website and ongoing maintenance 

  • Measure and report performance of marketing activities (partnerships, direct/outbound marketing, content marketing, influencer marketing, events and webinars)

  • Manage all other the tactical marketing (except technical blogs where you will work with our Lead Customer Success Engineer to execute)

 

Requirements:

  • Must have outstanding communication skills and interpersonal abilities

  • Must have strong project management skills, be detail oriented and disciplined in process adherence

  • Must have experience and proven ability to understand and execute account based marketing growth strategies

  • Must have knowledge of tools and methodologies for marketing automation, planning and collaboration

  • Must be able to maintain a consistent voice across all platforms and understands the industry well

  • Must be an effective multitasker, comfortable tracking multiple projects in parallel

  • Must have the ability to work independently and autonomously

  • Should have creative and analytical skills, with ability to distill complex ideas into content and value propositions

  • Should have an understanding of how to stitch marketing and sales together to create Lead gen

  • Should have an understanding of nurturing a lead to becoming a warm opportunity for sales (also handoff process and update)

  • Should have experience managing marketing budget to provide optimum ROI

  • We expect you’ll be able to demonstrate these skills to us if you already have 3+ years experience as a Marketing Manager

 

Nice to haves (not expected, but let us know):

  • Grasp of the AI and edge computing space

  • Grasp of Computer Vision 

  • Experience with UI/UX design

  • Understanding of consumer psychology and behavioral sciences

  • Experience in public relations

  • Experience growing a startup with revenue from 1M to 10M or similar

  • Experience in Series A or B cap raising
